Family Business Network - Confidentiality Policy

Throughout the programs, meetings and other events of the USC Family Business Network, our members, guests, speakers, advisory council and staff will be privileged to hear certain confidential and/or proprietary information about our companies and our families. It is the policy of the Network that all such information, and any information shared in our gatherings whether or not specifically described as confidential, will be treated as confidential.

By taking part in any of our programs, meetings and other events, each member, guest, speaker, advisory council member and staff member agree not to disclose this information to any third parties without specific written permission from the "owner" or "sharer" of that information. Each participant further agrees not to utilize any such information for their own personal or business advantage or for the personal or business advantage of any third party.

Participants also agree that any legal or consulting advice provided in or suggested by the Network?s gatherings will not be relied upon without the separate opinion of an outside attorney or consultant enlisted by the participant.

Other than these agreements, the Network, the Marshall School of Business Administration and our sponsoring organizations disclaim any responsibility for the protection of intellectual property shared by our participants.

Receipt of this policy and participation in our events signifies your agreement to this important policy of confidentiality. Our USC Family Business Network is designed to be an environment for open and continuous learning for all of our participants. It is our pride and our responsibility to protect that safety for all participants. We value your personal cooperation in this.
